This was expressed in his statement to “Report” by Azer Badamov, vice-chairman of the Committee on Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship of the Milli Majlis.
He said that ideological war is as dangerous as war on the battlefield:
“If the wars fought on the battlefield are based on the occupation of any territory, ideological war is calculated to destroy a State and a society as a whole. During the years of independence, our country had to go through a turbulent and difficult path. As our enemies occupied twenty percent of our territories, certain foreign circles also took our independence from our hands, tried to germinate separate elements in the country, thus sowing the seeds of separatism and trying to wash it away. the memory of the people through NGOs financed from abroad. “It narrowed the field of executors of the enemy’s orders. “It was the ideology of Azerbaijanism defined by the great leader Heydar Aliyev that united our people and made them more militant.”
A. Badamov said that foreign circles, seeing that the traditional means of pressure in the ideological field have lost their effectiveness, are already using new political technologies:
“Therefore, in order to disturb the psychology of young people, attempts continue to capture young people by inculcating LGBT, “No to war” and other similar harmful trends and forming a cosmopolitan worldview in them.
The President speaking at the first session of the newly elected 7th Milli Majlis convocation on September 23 Ilham Aliyev had said:
“Other important tasks are related to ideological security, and here we must always be careful, because ideological provocations against us continue. It is true that so far they have not given any results, because the strong will of our people and our national spirit remain In front of them, any ideological provocation has its roots here, but this should not calm us down. As the Head of State noted, it is necessary to expand the measures taken to guarantee ideological security. It is necessary to pay more attention to the growth of the young generation educated in the national spirit. Family, school and society play a key role here. A properly structured policy in all these directions guarantees the development of healthy youth and the protection of the country against foreign ideological threats.
According to the deputy, who highlighted the importance of continued work in this direction at the parliamentary level, the creation of a temporary commission against foreign interference and hybrid threats, which was discussed in the second session of the autumn session of the Milli Majlis, is one of the steps taken in this direction:
“Of particular importance is the approved bill on the definition of the activities of that commission. This issue will be taken into account at the level of the supreme legislative authority of the country.
