The world’s richest man, American billionaire Elon Musk, and former presidential candidate, businessman Vivek Ramaswamy, will head the new Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
Oku.AzAccording to Interfax, this was stated by the president-elect of the United States, Donald Trump.
“Together, these two great Americans will help my administration eliminate government bureaucracy, reduce redundant regulations, and restructure wasteful spending and federal agencies,” Trump said in a statement.
He quoted Musk as saying this would shock the system and anyone involved in the waste of public funds.
At the same time, after the president-elect of the United States announced the creation of a new department, Musk promised to publish a report on all the agency’s activity on the Internet to ensure transparency.
“Whenever the public thinks we’re cutting something important or not cutting something that’s wasteful, let us know!” – he wrote in his publication on the social network.
Musk also promised to compile a leaderboard of the “stupidest spender” of tax dollars.
“It will be extremely tragic and extremely interesting,” said the billionaire.
It should be remembered that Trump had previously promised to cancel the Ministry of Education. During the election campaign, he repeatedly pointed to this institution as a symbol of the federal government’s excessive interference in the daily lives of American families.
“I always say I’m dying to go back and do this. We’ll end up abolishing the federal department of education,” he said at a rally in Wisconsin in September.
