The face to face between the president of the government, Pedro Sánchez, and the Valencian president, the popular Carlos Mazónis already marked on the official agendas. A meeting marked by divergences within the PP itself on the question of whether or not the regional barons should meet one-on-one with the socialist leader.
The meeting should be next October 4th in La Moncloa, as confirmed Europe Press autonomous administration sources. The head of the Consell had advanced this Friday that a date had already been set for this meeting, in El Mazón he intends to address the financing of the Valencian Community, the agency’s debt and the Tajo-Segura transfer, among other issues.

Mazón confirmed that he would attend the meeting with Pedro Sánchez, that there was already a date and that it would be “soon”. Likewise, he indicated that “in addition to financing” he had other issues to discuss and, in particular, he explained that “first of all” he was going to “remind him that he owes us 3,500 million euros from the agency” and “1,000 million in health care for displaced people” per year.

Questioned by the media, Mazón stressed that he believes in multilateralism to address financing and indicated that he does not need to hide or go “into a dark room of privileges to demand what belongs to the Valencian Community”, “nor seek to disturb others”.
“We are capable of demanding every last cent of what is owed to us, demonstrating that it is also good for Spain, without proving the contrary, a unique financing, a special share, a privilege over others,” he stressed.
The regional leader assured that from the Valencian Community “we do not blackmail anyone because we do not want to be more than anyone.” “No privileges over anyone, but we are not going to tolerate being inferior to anyone, not even one minute more, not one cent more,” he added.
Regarding the meeting with Moreno Bonilla, the “president” indicated that the Valencian Community and Andalusia are united by “many things”, such as “the surprisingly humiliating underfunding to which the Spanish government subjects us” and having “many more problems” than others to address with our conviction to respond to public health, dependency, social services, public education.
