“Italy plans to cooperate in the future with Azerbaijan in the field of renewable energy sources.”
In his statement to “Report”, the high-level colleague of the COP29 on climate transparency, Francesco Corvaro, special representative of Italy on climate change, said this within the framework of the UN Preliminary Conference of the Parties on Climate Change Climate (Pre-COP29).
“In the future, cooperation in the field of renewable energy sources is planned. We are working on projects in this field, especially on the issue of energy storage from renewable sources. This is very important for both Italy and Azerbaijan “, said.
F. Corvaro noted that Azerbaijan and Italy cooperate closely in the energy sector.
He stressed that the two countries are working together to reduce the negative impact of this field on the environment: “We have several methods that we use to reduce greenhouse gas emissions during transportation, including natural gas. We must remember that supporting the use of natural gas for a fair transition of the system”.
