The Balearic company congratulated OKBALEARES for its 3rd anniversary during an event organized this Thursday at the Palma Conference Center, which had as special guest the former president of the Spanish government Jose Maria Aznar and in which the director of OKDIARIO participated, Edward Indaand the president of the Balearic Government, Marga Prohens.
Various politicians, neighborhood representatives, businessmen, liberal professionals and the general public gathered in the Balearic capital to show their unconditional support for the informative work of this digital, led by Miguel Angel Arizawho completed three years of his life practicing critical and independent journalism on Thursday.
In fact, during his speech, Prohens underlined this fact, emphasizing that some politicians do not like him, in a clear allusion but without naming him socialist spokesperson in Parliament, Iago Negueruelawho systematically refuses to answer OKBALEARES’ questions at each press conference, “it is the duty of politicians to respect the work of journalists and to answer all questions, however uncomfortable they may be.”
All kinds of profiles from Balearic society have frequented the Conference Palace, such as Jaume Ballesterof the PP of Muro. On the occasion of the third anniversary of OKBALEARES, the leader popular said: “I think it’s fantastic and even more so in these times when this government of Pedro Sánchez is making a policy of going against the media“.
