Among these first votes is that of the second vice president and Minister of Labor, Yolanda Díaz. “It is obvious that there are presidents who decline with their responsibilities and they are placed outside the general interest”, assured Díaz. Likewise, he stressed that he would like “to respect his mandates”, because “he does not do it”.
His Transport counterpart, Óscar Puente, also appreciated this sit-in by the “popular” leader, although in a more ironic tone. “Given his usual speech, what would have surprised me is that he was present,” Puente said a few minutes after the statement released by the Community of Madrid announcing Ayuso’s decision.
