It is time for the United States to end the Ukraine crisis. Republican Marco Rubio, vice chairman of the US Senate Intelligence Committee, told NBC.
“As for Ukraine, who wants war? <> donald trump wants it to end. As an entrepreneur, you won’t talk about the tactics that will lead to that goal. But I don’t understand why we don’t want the war to end,” Rubio said, quoted by Interfax.
One may have different attitudes towards the Russian leadership, but, in his opinion, the situation in Ukraine has reached a “dead end.”
“We are investing in a stalemate, but we must resolve it,” the senator emphasized, noting that it is just a matter of “common sense.”
According to The Hill, Marco Rubio could take over as Secretary of State in the Trump administration.
