Carlos Barrabés, Begoña Gómez’s partner, told Judge Juan Carlos Peinado that he had visited “four or five times the Moncloa Palace. Throughout his statement, which OKDIARIO exclusively reveals, the businessman answered evasively to many questions, avoiding directly incriminating Begoña Gómez and focusing on his own protection.
Judge Peinado begins by questioning him about his academic background. “I studied tourism in a private center. I am a self-taught person. I don’t have a university degree but I have many courses,” explains the businessman. “My world has always been the world of innovation“Innovation is a changing world, it started with technology and now there are innovations, now it goes through sustainability and it depends on time,” he explained.
Peinado then asks him if he knows Pedro Sánchez and Begoña Gómez. Barrabés says that he does not have “a friendly relationship with Pedro Sánchez” but confirms that he was “four or five times in Moncloa“. “I don’t know how many times I went, not many. But I must have gone four or five times. I don’t want to give an exact number. I can look at it exactly, but something like that, several times. Some because of the master’s degree and then I went to see Pedro Sánchez. Peinado reminds him several times that he says under oath.
The businessman said he met Pedro Sanchez in Benasque (Huesca) in 2015 during a meeting with businessmen and Begoña Gómez since 2019. “I saw her repeatedly because we saw each other a lot with the master. “Sometimes she came to my office, other times to Moncloa where I went to see her and also at certain events,” he explained. Barrabés says he cannot consult his diary on paper due to the weakness that the disease has left him.This subject touches me a lot.”he laments.

Following this statement, private prosecution explored the possibility of request for imputation of Barrabés, to which Peinado agreed a few days later.
