At the Israel-Argentina business conference in Buenos Aires, Argentine President Javier Miley announced plans to conclude a memorandum to create a strategic alliance with Israel. This step, according to the head of state, aims to strengthen democratic values, protect freedom and jointly fight against terrorism and authoritarian regimes.
Union as an example for the world
Miley noted that cooperation between Argentina and Israel should become a model for other countries. He stressed that both countries share the fundamental values of freedom, including the right to life, choice and independence. The President recalled the terrorist attacks that shook Argentina 30 years ago and the tragic events of October 7 associated with the actions of the terrorist organization Hamas.
The President also expressed his determination to achieve the release of all hostages held by terrorists, including eight Argentine citizens. He stressed that his release must be immediate and unconditional.
New stage of relationship
Miley said her administration intends to take relations with Israel to an unprecedented level. He is convinced that the memorandum will confirm the commitment of both countries to the common values of democracy and freedom. He called Israel, along with the United States, Argentina’s most important geopolitical partner.
In his opinion, Israel is an example for the entire world. The President noted that the Jewish people managed to overcome the most difficult challenges, create a successful State and achieve high results in technology. This experience, Miley emphasized, can inspire Argentine society to develop its own potential.
Desire to get closer
Miley expressed her admiration for the resilience and hard work of the Israeli people and emphasized that Argentina can learn a lot from them. According to him, cooperation with Israel is based on the natural rapprochement of the two peoples and the community of their historical values.
The President assured that the new union will be built on the ideals of freedom and democracy, taking into account the need to fight terrorism and authoritarian threats. This step, in his opinion, will be an important milestone in the development of bilateral relations and the strengthening of the positions of both countries in the international arena.
