Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany Annalena Berbok on the sidelines of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
Oku.Az states that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan has published information in this regard.
It was noted that the meeting discussed the current bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Germany, as well as the current situation in the region in the post-conflict period.
The other party was also informed in detail about the work carried out within the framework of the holding in Azerbaijan of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29).
Speaking about the current situation in the region during the post-conflict, the restoration and reconstruction works carried out in the territories liberated from occupation, as well as the normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, Jeyhun Bayramov noted that the ongoing territorial claims against our country in the constitution and legislative documents of Armenia, as well as the rapid arming of this country, are threats to the achieved peace agenda.
Other topics of mutual interest were also discussed at the meeting.

Likewise, Jeyhun Bayramov met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Casper Veldkamp, within the framework of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
Various aspects of relations between Azerbaijan and the Netherlands were discussed at the meeting, as well as the current situation and realities in the region during the post-conflict period.
The importance of mutual visits between the two countries, contacts within the framework of various international events, reviewing the spectrum of bilateral relations and exploring new directions of future cooperation was highlighted.
Jeyhun Bayramov informed the other party in detail about the current situation and realities in the region during the post-conflict period, the large-scale restoration and construction works carried out in the territories free of occupation, measures to combat the threat of mines, as well as the normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
The main factors that threatened the work carried out to sign a peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia, including the presence of territorial claims against our country in the Constitution and other legislative documents of Armenia, as well as the rapid arming of this country, were called the attention.
Jeyhun Bayramov, speaking about the COP29 presidency, noted that we are ready to evaluate possible opportunities for cooperation.
During the meeting, opinions were also exchanged on other topics of mutual interest.
