The Minister of Economy announces “a drastic plan” to simplify things for companies
The Minister of Economy and Finance, Antoine Armand, announced on Thursday that he was preparing “a drastic simplification plan” for companies.
“Every time I travel, people talk to me about this simplification that still takes time and they tell us: ‘In a way, you don’t trust us enough.’ Well, we will trust you more: I will present you with a drastic simplification plan, which can be summarized in a single phrase: “You create, we simplify.”said.
The minister spoke to an audience made up mainly of business leaders, on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the annual BIG event (for Bpifrance Inno Génération), organized by the public investment bank Bpifrance. A simplification bill introduced by the previous government is already being considered in the Senate. Their discussion was interrupted in June by the dissolution of the National Assembly.
Prime Minister Michel Barnier indicated last week that the debate on this text would resume. Therefore, the plan measures mentioned by Mr. Armand would be added to those in the existing bill.
“The support [des entreprises] implemented in recent years, and which has been a great success, in particular thanks to Bpifrance (…) “It absolutely must continue.”continued Antoine Armand, referring to the Tibi fund, aimed at supporting technology and ecology, or the ETIncelles program aimed at transforming small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) into medium-sized enterprises (ETI).
A recent note from the General Finance Inspectorate (IGF) proposed, among other ways of saving, to release some 800 million euros by eliminating the financing of business support missions offered by the chambers of commerce and industry (CCI), the chambers of crafts trades (CMA), for a total of 700 million euros, and Bpifrance, for 130 million euros.
“We will also be present for the protection of your personal data and the financing of growth: France does not intend to be the training center of the United States or the incubator of China”concluded the minister.
