According to media reports, an armed attack took place in the Dead Sea area, during which terrorists opened fire on the Israeli army. Thanks to the quick response of the security forces, two of the attackers were neutralized.
Preliminary information, which has not yet been confirmed by official sources, indicates that the attackers could have entered Israeli territory from Jordan. Two people were also reported to have been injured as a result of the attack.
Two terrorists were eliminated by the Moshav Neot HaKikar rapid response team. According to reports, among the victims on the Israeli side there are also two wounded.
An IDF spokesman said that some time ago his forces discovered a group of terrorists who had crossed the border into Jordan south of the Dead Sea.
He added that IDF forces were immediately sent to the scene and engaged in a firefight with the enemy, resulting in the death of two terrorists who opened fire on their fighters. Currently, forces continue to control the area.
