Jordan terrorist invasion: IDF provided detailed information

The IDF provided detailed information about today’s incident on the border with Jordan.

Observers from the 727th Composite Battalion discovered a group of suspects near the border line south of the Dead Sea, an IDF spokesman said. Troops were quickly dispatched to the scene.

During a firefight with terrorists who entered Israeli territory and opened fire on the Israeli army, IDF soldiers and Home Front Command reservists under the command of the Yoav Brigade eliminated two of the attackers.

As a result of the collision, two IDF soldiers, including a reservist, suffered minor to moderate injuries and were evacuated for medical treatment.

Security forces continue to comb the area, blocking roads and carrying out aerial and ground explorations amid suspicions of the possible presence of a third terrorist.

The IDF spokesperson urged citizens to follow instructions and pay attention to messages from security forces.

Previously, Cursor wrote that Jordan commented on the terrorist invasion near the Metro Sea.

Jordan commented on the terrorist attack in the Dead Sea and said that the perpetrators of the attack on Israeli territory are not associated with the Jordanian security forces.

“Cursor” also wrote that an East Jerusalem resident was detained for preparing terrorist attacks.

The press service of the police and the Shin Bet announced the joint arrest of an East Jerusalem resident suspected of planning a series of terrorist attacks, including an attack on hostage families participating in protests in Tel Aviv.

According to investigators, a 22-year-old resident of the Sheikh Jarrah area planned to carry out terrorist attacks in response to actions against Gaza residents and in support of Hamas. The suspect intended to purchase explosive devices and weapons to attack civilians and security forces. Their plans included attacks on IDF soldiers, bombings of Tel Aviv trains, and an attack on a gathering of hostage families to kill as many people as possible.

The investigation established that the detainee was a supporter of the terrorist groups Jenin Brigades and Hamas, and conspired with the inhabitants of Judea and Samaria to carry out their plans. As part of his preparation, he created a social media group called “Warriors of God” and left a will.

The arrest was made on September 17 at his home in East Jerusalem by the Jerusalem District Police with the support of the Border Police. Thanks to the coordinated actions of the Shin Bet and the police, the attacks were prevented in the planning stage, before the suspect had time to acquire the necessary weapons.
