Juan José Gomez Fernández He will continue to lead the Brotherhood of the Valley of Toledo after the elections held this Sunday in which his candidacy won with 178 votes, compared to 74 obtained by his rival, Marisol Rodríguez Garrido.
From early morning, the brothers of this brotherhood, the most numerous and most rooted in the city, were called to vote, for the first time, in elections with two candidates. In recent weeks, some controversy had been generated because the process, scheduled for September, had to be canceled. Finally, the Board of Directors which has served in the brotherhood since 2017 will continue to direct this institution.
The new board of directors will be responsible, among other things, for managing the celebrations of the fourth centenary of the brotherhood in 2026.
