Jud Bellingham, midfielder for the English national team and Spanish Real Madrid, became the first English player to be among the top three nominations for the Ballon d’Or since 2005.
Oku.Az reports that this happened yesterday at the Ballon d’Or ceremony in Paris.
Judd Bellingham is in the top three along with Rodri and his Real Madrid teammate Vinicius Junior. In 2005, English footballers Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard entered the top three.
It should be noted that this year the Ballon d’Or was won by Rodri, the midfielder of the English Manchester City and the Spanish national team.
