The court investigating the complaint filed by actress Elisa Mouliaá against former politician Íñigo Errejón for alleged sexual assault has summoned both men to testify in the coming days. The complainant will be the first to appear this Thursday, November 7 to ratify her accusations and Sumar’s former spokesperson will appear as accused on November 12. These are the first steps taken by the judge after verifying that Errejón is not a member of Congress and, therefore, is not qualified before the Supreme Court.
Actress and broadcaster Elisa Mouliaá filed a complaint at the police station against Errejón, accusing the then-MP of carrying out a sexual assault against her in September 2021 after an encounter at a party. According to her complaint, which must now also be ratified in court, the politician closed the door to the room where they were and carried out the assault, taking out his penis in front of her and touching her without her consent.
Iñigo Errejón abandoned all his political functions, including his mandate as deputy, after the publication of testimonies from journalist Cristina Fallarás which identified him as the author of sexist attitudes and attacks against several women. As Sumar and Más Madrid report, Errejón himself admitted to at least part of these accusations. At the same time, the party accused Madrid MP Loreto Arenillas of acting behind the party’s back when she learned of one of these attacks in Castellón, something Arenillas herself denied.
