Judge indicts Negreira’s partner after Civil Guard discovers 3 million euros in his accounts

Barcelona’s investigating court number 1 has decided to charge Ana Paula Rufas, current partner of José María Enríquez Negreira, with the crime of money laundering.

The Civil Guard found three million “unjustified” euros of “unknown origin” in their bank accounts between 1992 and 2023, as indicated in a 168-page report revealed by EL ESPAÑOL.

Likewise, Judge Joaquín Aguirre decided to extend the investigation for another six months, until March 2025, once the Benemérita makes this new discovery.

“The investigation into this piece must be extended given that the Civil Guard has not yet completed the investigation assigned to it and until it presents the report of conclusions, statements cannot be collected from the people investigated,” the judge said.

“Secondly, the Civil Guard has presented a voluminous report, even though the investigation into the destination of the approximately three million euros paid into Ana Paula Rufas’ current account has not yet been completed.”

Negreira’s partner, according to the judge’s order of last Monday, August 26, to which this newspaper had access, will be called to testify in the near future because he is the subject of an investigation.
