It was the PSOE and Más Madrid, appearing in the case as popular accusations, who asked the judge to consider the possibility of expanding the case to their commercial relations with the Quirón group, knowing that these works could also hide new tax frauds. The prosecution opposed this option.
The judge of Court 19 of Madrid rejected this possibility, explaining firstly that the procedures proposed by the accusations would be “useless” and that they could even be prospective in nature, in addition to prolonging the trial for several more years.
