Judges of the Constitutional Court will take the oath in the Abkhazian state language. The same rule will apply to judges elected for the first time from the courts of general jurisdiction and the Arbitration Court. Deputies made corresponding changes in first reading to Article 94 of the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Abkhazia “On Judiciary”.
This corresponds to the law “On the state language of the Republic of Abkhazia”, which stipulates that the original language of regulatory legal acts is the state language.
