Justice investigates whether Villalbilla prisoner killed his companion or caused his suicide

The service court has decided to send to prison without bail the partner of Raquel BL, the woman whose lifeless body was found yesterday by Civil Guard agents in an isolated room of her house in the town of Villalbilla, in the Corredor del Henares of Madrid. The investigation seeks to know if it is a sexist crime and the first investigations attribute to the accused a crime of homicide and another of incitement to suicide, although the classification may change as the case progresses. For the moment, in his judicial testimony, the accused has denied having participated in the death of the victim.

The victim’s fate remained unknown for 12 days and it was her boyfriend, now in preventive detention, who reported her disappearance. According to the version she gave at the time, Raquel BL, 54, had left home to join her mother in Griñón, almost an hour away, and had not returned. The agents verified that the woman had never met her mother and focused on her boyfriend, who was arrested while trying to flee the agents.

Investigators found the woman’s body, according to sources from the armed institute, in a closed, soundproof room and in the process of decomposing, in circumstances that led the agents to consider a possible suicide.

The Alcalá de Henares Permanent Court, which initially took charge of the case, chose to send the man to prison without bail, exploring two possibilities: that he directly end his life (homicide) or that she commit suicide on the orders of the man (suicide induction). This grade may change as the instructor obtains more evidence on the case.

In his statement before Court Number Six of Alcalá, the accused denied having any connection with the death of his partner.
