Vice President Kamala Harris became angry on Wednesday during an interview with Fox News host Bret Baier when he accused her of failing to protect the southern border: “Can I finish?” Kamala Harris asked Baier, who began the interview with a question about immigration: How many illegal immigrants have crossed the southern border under the Biden administration? Harris avoided answering and acknowledged that immigration was “a topic of discussion that people rightly want to have”. Baier then intervened to point out that around six million people had crossed the border illegally. The interview was recorded in Pennsylvania, a key state among the undecided in these presidential elections, and broadcast on the Fox channel this Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. (12:00 a.m. in Spain). It lasted 30 minutes. Afterwards, Harris chose to attack former President Donald Trump for opposing a bipartisan border security proposal earlier this year, saying her opponent “I’d rather campaign on an issue than solve it, and in this election, that’s rightly a debate the American people want to have.” Harris also attacked him after being asked about Biden’s cognitive decline: “I think Trump is not stable”he replied.
He also attacked Trump later after Baier highlighted the cases of Rachel Nungaray, Laken Riley and Rachel Morin, women who were murdered by men who entered the country illegally: “Do you owe these families an apology? “These are tragic cases. There is no doubt about it. There is no doubt about it. “And I can’t imagine the pain these victims’ families felt for a loss that should not have happened.”said Harris, who did not show any kind of empathy during the tense interview she had with the Fox reporter.
