Kamala Harris or Donald Trump, the tense final “sprint” of an electoral campaign full of controversies

The United States is heading towards one of presidential elections the most tense and most polarized in its history. In these last days, Donald Trump and Kamala Harris have stepped up their campaigns and messages.

Donald Trump has sought to reinforce his claims that the electoral system is “rigged” and that alleged fraud could deprive him of victory. “They’re trying every possible way to steal the damn thing… These elections must be decided on Tuesday at eleven o’clock in the evening!“, he proclaimed to his supporters, insisting on his legitimacy as leader and calling into question, once again, the result of his previous defeat.

Trump rallies, while massive, show signs of wear and tear. During one of his last meetings, the empty seats contrasted with the image of popularity that the Republican is trying to project. But that didn’t stop him from underestimating the risks of terrorism, declaring: “Now, to get to me, they would have to go through all these fake media. And I don’t care.”

Faced with this position, Kamala Harris called on citizens to turn the page and leave behind “decades of politics of division and fear”. “We’re fed up,” he said at a rally. Harris also surprised with an appearance on the country’s most popular comedy show, where she showed a closer side and made fun of herself.

Both candidates agree in several things: in the importance of going to vote, in the historical significance of these elections, in considering oneself as winners… and in the importance of Pennsylvania, a key state which has seen the concentration of several of their latest campaign events.
