Yassin Benzia, the Algerian footballer of “Qarabag”, spoke in “Report” about his candidacy for the “Ferent Puskas” award founded by FIFA.
The 30-year-old midfielder hopes his impressive goal against South Africa in an international friendly in March this year will be his best:
“Yes, I am proud and I hope to win. If I win, it will be fantastic. This is especially for those who support me in Algeria and Azerbaijan.”
Yassin Benzia, player of Karabakh and the Algerian national team, was nominated for the 2024 “Ferent Puskas” award.
Referring to the organization’s press service, “Report” reports that the 30-year-old midfielder was included in the list of candidates due to the beautiful goal he scored in the 70th minute of the international friendly match between Algeria and RCA.
It should be noted that the match held on March 26 ended with a score of 3-3. Y. Benzia was the author of a double (22, 70) in the match.
