The team stated in a statement that Karabaz, who won the gold medal at the Tokyo Olympic Games, and the winner of the Mountin -Mountin title in the French race last year, suffered from abdominal pain and fever, and doctors advised him to avoid traveling over long distances and participating in competitions.
“I sadly tell you that the infection in the digestive system is forced to be absent in the French race,” wrote Karabaz in the application on Instagram.

The team added that Karabaz (32 years) will be released for several weeks to recover before resuming training, and will focus on the political race in Spain, which begins in August.
