Karim El Baqqali admitted in his statements before the Central Operational Unit (UCO) of the Civil Guard that he was the pilot of the drug boat that ran over and killed agents David Pérez Carracedo and Miguel Ángel González Gómez on February 9 in the port of Barbate (Cádiz).

Baqqali was brought to justice this Friday after surrendering to the Civil Guard in Barbate in the early hours of Thursday, accompanied by his lawyer. It was an agreed delivery and last night it ended with the Eight months of evasion from justice by Karim Baqqali, the most wanted man by the Armed Institute.
