Kazakhstan and Mongolia will create a system of Earth remote sensing satellites. The corresponding agreement was signed during the state visit of Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Ulaanbaatar, the Ministry of Digital Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan reports.
According to the document, Kazakhstan will develop and adapt a satellite for Mongolia, which will become part of the common Kazakh-Mongol constellation.
“Independent control of satellites by each party will provide Kazakhstan and Mongolia with access to up-to-date data to monitor natural resources and agricultural development.” – the department said in a statement.
