Kazakhstan has reduced electricity imports from Russia

Kazakhstan reduced Russian electricity imports by 17%. This is reported by the National Statistics Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

At the same time, according to statistics, electricity exports to Russia decreased by 2.6% (1.3 billion kWh).

In total, Kazakhstan earned $41.8 million from electricity supplies (an increase of 5.6%).

Import volumes decreased by 16%: in total they amounted to 3.1 billion kWh.

Kazakhstan imported the necessary amount of electricity from Russia – 3 billion kWh (a decrease of 17.3%) and from Kyrgyzstan – 98.2 million kWh (an increase of 1.6 times).

The price of energy in the domestic market of Kazakhstan increased by more than 20% over the year.
