Kazakhstan is planning to increase its military potential. This was announced by President of the Republic Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at a meeting of the country’s Security Council, the press service of the administration of the head of the Republic of Kazakhstan reports.
“The Security Council of Kazakhstan adopted decisions on proposed approaches to increasing the military potential of the state and equipping the army with modern weapons and military equipment, including those produced by domestic defense enterprises.” – says the information on this matter.
It is reported that there were reports from the Minister of National Economy Nurlana BaybazarovaMinister of Defense Ruslana ZhaksylykovaMinister of Industry and Construction Kanata Sharlapaeva on the implementation of measures to strengthen the country’s defence capability.
After the meeting, Tokayev gave a number of specific instructions to the government and interested government agencies to improve the military organization of the state.
