Kazan airport has returned to normal operation – Rosaviatsia

Kazan International Airport (Tatarstan) has returned to normal operations: temporary restrictions on sending and receiving aircraft have been completely lifted.

According to the Federal Air Transport Agency, this occurred at 10:00 Moscow time. While restrictions were in place, six planes flying to Kazan departed for alternative airfields in Samara, Ulyanovsk and Nizhnekamsk.

The airport’s press service reports that temporary restrictions have been introduced to ensure the safety of civil aircraft flights.

The Federal Air Transport Agency added that aircraft crews, air traffic controllers and airport services took all necessary measures to ensure flight safety, as this is their top priority.

As reported EADailyKazan Airport previously suspended operations for security reasons. Flight restrictions came into force at 8:40 Moscow time.
