The Kenyan government described protests, during which at least 16 people were killed this week as “terrorist actions”, and promised to bring responsibility for their organization.

Kenyan Minister of Internal Affairs of Kibsmtab Mordant -Kominomin told reporters in the Nyrobi capital on Thursday that the protests that occurred yesterday were: “Camed with terrorism in the form of the opposition.” He added: “It was riots, chaos and escape.”
The protests burst out against the government of President William Rono in June 2024, after the government tried to introduce new taxes as part of its efforts to reduce the budget deficit.
According to Amnesty International, quoting medical sources, the violence, which is signed on Wednesday, wounded about 400 people, including 3 police officers. The statement added that at least 8 people receive treatment as a result of a shot.
