Seoul – The North Korean leader Kim Jong-un called to speed up the armament of the Navy with his country with nuclear weapons, KCNA news agency reported on Wednesday (04/30/2025).
Kim made this statement, attending the testing of the DPRK multimidation system, Cho Hion. After he witnessed the demonstration, he said, noted that the ability of warships is still relied on ordinary weapons and “cannot be called a reliable instrument of marine defense.”

North Korean allies, Russia, promised to help protect the country if there is such a threat. The Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters this week that the protective agreement between Moscow and Pyongyan is still “applicable”. The agreement requires both parties to provide military assistance to each other, if necessary.
