“Sergey Lavrov was adopted by the head of the state affairs of the Democratic Republic of Korea Kim Jong -un,” the statement said.
The statement stated that during the meeting, the Minister Lavrov handed over greetings to the President of Russia Vladimir Putin to the North Korean leader.
Lavrov confirmed at the press conference after his negotiations with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of North Korea Choi San Hu that there are constant contact between the two leaders, and there will be personal meetings between them.
On Friday, Lavrov arrived in Winsan from Malaysia, where he participated in meetings of the Association of Southeast Asia (ASEAN).
Earlier today, Saturday, the Russian minister in Vonsan met with his North Korean colleague. During the meeting, a plan of exchange was signed between two foreign ministries in two countries for the period 2026-2027.
