North Korean Labor Party Central Committee Vice Chairwoman Kim Yo-jong, sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, said the power imbalance on the Korean Peninsula and neighboring regions could lead to war.
Oku.AzCiting TASS, he stressed that the DPRK will continue to strengthen its nuclear arsenal.
“Today, the violation of power parity between us and the enemies on the Korean Peninsula and in the region means an immediate war; this is an objective reality that cannot be denied,” the politician said.
He also drew attention to the joint exercises carried out by the United States, Japan and the Republic of Korea on November 3, in which fighter aircraft and the “B-1B” strategic bomber participated. According to him, these exercises are clear proof of the hostile and aggressive character of the DPRK’s enemies.
Kim Yo Jong added that the increased frequency of military exercises by the United States and its allies is a serious threat to the peace and security of both the DPRK and the entire region.
“The DPRK’s policy of strengthening its defensive nuclear forces is the only correct option under the current circumstances, and we will not deviate from this path,” he said.
