This text about the Berlin seller of Klaus Baltruschat books was first published in 2012. Now Baltruschat has died shortly before his 91st birthday, the Berlin State Association of the Left Party said. We publish the text again on this occasion.
“Like Disner,” she and Klaus thought immediately, says a woman with a short constant wave. For two weeks there was a lot of silence. “Is that right, Klaus?” Kat Baltruschat, who travels between the living room and the kitchen, briefly stops. “You noticed that everything still moves us a little.”
Klaus Baltruschat nods. “This is true.” A 77-year-old with white hair is not excessive words. His wife’s eyes follow calmly, which disappears again in the kitchen. Baltruschat leans into the pillow of its corner sofa. Before him is a bright wall, on the right, the aquarium, to the left of the ticking wall clocks. A new apartment, like many in the east of Berlin, is a Kepenik.
In fact, says Baltruschat, he thinks about Disnere every day. “It won’t work.” Baltruschat raises the left shoulder on which his shirt hangs down. “And also?”

It was shortly after nine hours on February 19, 1997, on Wednesday morning. Klaus Baltruschat has just opened his small bookstore in Berlin-Marzan, which mainly sells left political literature. Baltruschat is the first in the house in which PDS deputy Gregor Gisi also has his own office. The village corner, behind which prefabricated buildings rise. Suddenly, a man stands in the door frame in a small office room Baltruschat, a shotgun in his hand.
Baltruschat is still tearing his hands, then a person begins to shoot. The then 62-year-old falls to the ground, his left hand exploded, his right hand bleeds. The stranger disappears. Baltruschat stretches out into the street.
He will survive. His left hand and little finger of the right hand, but no longer can be saved.
The shooter lives near the bookstore, in one of the high -level buildings: Kay Disner. Berlin on the right is an Actrem, short dark hair, a stubborn beard, 24 years old. Disner with his combination of Mazda after a crime through Northern Germany, with a shocked vest, will become a warehouse of weapons in the trunk. Pistols, machete, batons.
Blood and honor predict the civil war
When Disner enters the police control in the recreation area near Hamburg, he suddenly shoots. 34-year-old officer Stefan Grage was mortally injured, his colleague seriously damaged her leg and face. Disner runs away with his Mazda, shoots alarmed police cars. Then he gives up. He waved the police officer, why did not shoot him at once?
The Disner act enters at a time when the correct scene radiates militants in the late 1990s. Neo -Nazi network blood and honor predict the civil war. In the Saarbrücken, the explosive device explodes before the Wehrmacht exhibition, in Berlin, is blown up by the tombstone of the former chairman of the Central Council of Jews Hinz Galinski.
The police are confiscated in Neo -nazis in Ingolstadt, Bocholt, Gettingen, Berlin and Bochum Rorbuben, rifles or grenades. In January 1998, also in Yen. Three bomb builders are then diving. Beate ZSCHYPE, UWE MUNDLOS, UWE Böhnhardt.
On the table in the living room in front of Claus Baltruschat, there is a folder with files, so chubby that the lids are hardly close closely. Baltruschat gathered everything about his breeding. Article, court documents, propaganda of extremists of the right. Two other folders contain the letters Baltruschat after trying to kill. While he is in the hospital, acquaintances continue to operate their store on a voluntary basis. “It was a strong solidarity,” says Baltruschat.
Solidarity, Baltruschat is important. East Berlin was already in PDS when it was called SED. To this day, he attends meetings of his local association, on May 1, he hit Red Nelken into the lapel.
Initially, the police do not know that Neo -Razi shot at the baltruschat. She investigates in all directions, also checks the alleged connection of the seller of books with a woman – Baltruschat, as he later says, does not even know. Only when officials arrested Disner on the highway, do they know who Sagittarius was from Marzan.
Curiosity instead of hatred
When Kay Disner was made in the District Court of Lubeck in August 1997, Klaus and Kat Baltruschat travel in every negotiations. Sometimes neo -nasi imitates the absence, sometimes a provocateur. Disner says that he wanted to punish PDS as an “inexplicable party” and wants to take revenge on the NPD demonstration for the attack of autonomists. He wanted to “just shoot” the “Bolsheviks”. And what about the policeman, the judge asks. “Bulls,” says Disner, “in the back you can shoot in the head where you meet them.”
Klaus Baltruschat says that he could not feel the hatred of Disner. “There was just a curiosity why such a young man became a killer.” Baltruschat several times tried to meet Disner. He refused, Baltruschat had to look for the answers himself. “Disner completely fell into his hatred. He was completely fanatic by the right ideology. ”
In December 1997, Disner was sentenced to life imprisonment with particular seriousness of guilt. It ends in JVA Lübeck, where he is still sitting today*. His first prison check is two years later, 2014. The chances of dismissal are bad.
After the decision, Baltruschat considers the issue of the civil process of pain and suffering. His lawyer advises that there is nothing to get from the debt of the outer. From the state Baltruschat he does not hear anything from the police.
Baltruschat has a bitter one, until today. He puts paper on a table in the living room, a folk camera. GDR, he says, immediately compensated for every victim of violence. He does not want to sound eagerly. He says that this is “general.” The state is simply not interested in the victims of the right violence, for 135 deaths from the moment of turn. But wasn’t it a state act for ten victims of NSU recently? “An attempt, at least,” grumble Baltruschat.
Baltruschat wants to look stronger, stronger than Disner
Petra Pau, Vice -President of the Bundestag Left Party, rushes into his Bundestag office in Green Jecte, falling on a black chair. When I learned Pau from NSU, she called Baltruschats that evening. “Of course, Disner immediately went through my head.”
PAU was the chairman of Berlin PDS in 1997 and has been friends with Baltruschats since the attack. Access, she says with a quiet, rough voice, was a key event. “After that, it was clear what topic I would devote myself to the Bundestag.” Today, PA enters the Bundestag Investigative Committee in NSU murders.
Sometimes PAU and Baltruschat are found on demonstrations against neo -nazis. “He sees his duty in this,” says Pau. It is also a piece of self -service. When the NPD opened its federal center in only a few streets of Bolttrachat’s apartments, the couple protests against the ban on the party.
After the attack, Baltruschat goes to school, spoke about his fate. Education of the Ajax Köpenick Girls Handball team. Return to the bookstore, work five years to resign. “Add small,” says Klaus Baltruschat, “we did not want to relate to Disner’s success.”
Baltruschat wants to look stronger, stronger than Disner. But sometimes fear returned. The 77-year-old does not like to talk about this, Kat wife reports this. “If you are honest, you do not like to go to the door today, when the doorbell calls.”
But Baltruschats do not want to complain. Ursula von Zeitzberg, the policeman’s mother was killed, “really had life.” The 72-year-old football player violated the crime, reports Baltushats. To date, she goes to the grave of her son every other day. Sitsberg and Baltruschats made friends. “If things are going very badly, we visit each other.”
“Pech”
Kay Disner did not reveal any regrets in the process, he still does not do this. He leaves letters from journalists unanswered. Disner is also the East -Berlin. In 1989, he flew to the West, later a trained accurate mechanic returns east of the city, runs in a house in Lichtenberg, occupied by the right extremists. He meets the head of the State Alternative, Arnulf reception, which is a long -term rocker. Disner is invited to military sports exercises. Already in 1991, he was in court for a knife. Five years later, he was arrested for the “formation of an armed group” for Arnulf reception. When he was arrested after death shots, Disner says that he was fighting for the “white resistance of the Aryan”.
Baltruschat knows Disner’s biography, he filed it in his folder. The investigator’s assessment disappointed even more than the damage, that Disner was an “individual criminal”. “He was gone,” says Baltruschat. Disner stood in the middle of the right scene. “And his act grew out of this society.”
Judge Fritz Wilmar left the question of an individual crime opened in December 1997. Neo -nazi was the “only subject” of negotiations, the decision says. Obsessed by the “will to exterminate” and “inexhaustible revenge in comparison with the disagreement”.
Petra Pau also question the individual crime. “These people did not fall from heaven.” Parallels, Disner and NSU are terrifying. The 48-year-old leans out of her chair, looks even more tense. Did she consider such an extraordinary series of murders possible until November last year? Petra Pau presses for a short time, clutching his eyes together. “No.” There is also a short silence in the living room of Klaus Baltruchat. Then he says. “To this extent? No.” The imagination was not so far away, even after Disner.
