Knives, mouthguards and balaclavas seized from Valladolid and Real Sociedad ultras

Knives, mouthguards, balaclavas and flags prohibited by the Sports Law. These are some of the objects seized last Saturday by Real Valladolid and Real Sociedad fans who, before the match between the two teams at the José Zorrilla stadium, were walking in the same area without any incident and under the controlled eyes of the National Police. their movements.

The match played last Saturday between the Pucelano team and Real Sociedad was considered “high risk” by the National Police, which deployed a device against possible confrontations between the ultras of the Valladolid 1984 collective and the RSF Firm who were going to travel from San Sebastián to the banks of the Pisuerga.

To “avoid possible” conflicts and guarantee a “peaceful” development of the match, different units of the National Police were deployed and the Real Sociedad ultras were monitored from the Basque Country. In this context, a “suspicious vehicle” that they had controlled from the capital San Sebastian was detected, “circling” around the place where the members of the Valladolid1984 group usually meet and it was decided to intervene.

After stopping the vehicle, its three occupants, “ultra fans” of the Royal Society, were identified and a search was carried out during which a flag with symbols prohibited by the Sports Act was used, for which a sanction was proposed in addition to several mouth guards.

It was not the only suspicious vehicle. And there was a second car that made many trips through the area. On this occasion, a member of the Valladolid ultra sports club was at the wheel and a piece of clothing, three balaclavas and five large knives were seized, which is why it was also proposed to a sanction.

The match ended without incident at the José Zorrilla stadium where “both ultra groups were kept under control, accompanying them inside at all times and preventing incidents from occurring between the two supporters.” After the match, the visitors were accompanied until they left the city.
