Commander of the Civil Guard Rubén Villalba received a “salary” from the “Koldo plot” to ensure the safety of its members in case they are “caught”. This is what the new UCO report to which laSexta had access indicates and in which researchers conclude that this senior official would be responsible for facilitating “secure lines of communication” for members of the alleged criminal organization, as well as “the adoption of security measures”. To do this, it carried out simulated “sweeps” in Aldama companies to exclude the installation of surveillance devices, but also the consultation of Civil Guard databases. One of them concerns the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez.

And Koldo, before the plot was revealed, already knew that he was under investigation by the UCO for collecting million-dollar commissions from the purchase of masks during the pandemic, as Víctor d’Aldama also knew this.
According to Ábalos’ former advisor to the commander, he would have been “the Director of the Civil Guard who informed him of these details”even if it was he who confirmed “that it was the UCO and not another police force which was carrying out an investigation into his person”.
