Koldo asked the complex’s civil guard to find out if Sánchez’s cell phone was tapped

Commander of the Civil Guard Rubén Villalba received a “salary” from the “Koldo plot” to ensure the safety of its members in case they are “caught”. This is what the new UCO report to which laSexta had access indicates and in which researchers conclude that this senior official would be responsible for facilitating “secure lines of communication” for members of the alleged criminal organization, as well as “the adoption of security measures”. To do this, it carried out simulated “sweeps” in Aldama companies to exclude the installation of surveillance devices, but also the consultation of Civil Guard databases. One of them concerns the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez.

“Once he even asked me If the telephone number of the President of the Government and the former Minister of Development José [Luis] The Abalos were stung to which we were told that we could do nothing”, recounts in a conversation the senior official of the Civil Guard investigating a request addressed to him by the advisor of the former socialist minister.

Indeed, Villalba recognized once again that “some of Koldo’s requests were of a very sensitive nature, such as wanting to know if the telephone of the President of the Government or the former Minister of Public Works had been tapped “. This request is part of one of the usual functions that the surveyed agent provided to this plot. What does the query look like in the Civil Guard databases?. “A Koldo and ‘Gomina’ [mote de Víctor de Aldama] Specifically, I looked at the basics,” he said in a UCO-recorded conversation with another Corps agent.

Thus, the report concludes that beyond the provision of “disposable” secure devices to members of the alleged criminal organization, they “would have requested information about the people” from this agent, “so that, thanks to his membership to the state security forces and bodies, check these entities in police databases and transmit this information to persons under investigation.

Other requests, underlines the UCO, concerned “people wanted by INTERPOL”, but also “certain number plates or data at the request of the people investigated” in this case. And Koldo, before the plot was revealed, already knew that he was under investigation by the UCO for collecting million-dollar commissions from the purchase of masks during the pandemic, as Víctor d’Aldama also knew this.

According to Ábalos’ former advisor to the commander, he would have been “the Director of the Civil Guard who informed him of these details”even if it was he who confirmed “that it was the UCO and not another police force which was carrying out an investigation into his person”. In this way it is confirmed that Koldo “asked for things”, said the Civil Guard.
