Koldo case judge asks Anticorruption if it should summon Minister Óscar Puente as a witness

National Court Judge Ismael Moreno asks the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office if the Minister of Transport, Oscar Puente, must testify as a witness in the Koldo case to account for the batch of masks ordered by his department whose destination is unknown. This is a request that arose from the popular accusation of Liberum, based on the audit that Puente presented last week to Congress.

In principle, four million masks would be planned to be delivered to various public bodies in the field of land transport, worth 7,262,832.73 eurosLiberum, which relies on the audit carried out by the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda (MITMA), points out that “there is no documentary evidence of the delivery either to the ministry, or to the Post Office, or to the then General Directorate of Land Transport.”

“Report; having received the previous writing (Acont. 5195) presented by the procedural representation of the Liberum Association interested, among others, in the process of judicial registration as a witness of Mr. Oscar Puente Santiago, Minister of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, join this case. In view of the above, please forward it to the Public Ministry so that it can report on the case concerned; It will be agreed on its outcome,” communicated Judge Moreno by way of order.
