Koldo Garcia’s defense insists on knowing how his emails left the court
The president of the Central Court of Instruction number 2 of the National Court, Ismael Moreno, requested a report from the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office on the intention of Koldo García’s defense to open a separate piece in the investigation file on the leaks of information.
Lawyer Javier Pimentel had already requested this measure last July, but at that time the case was pending for the Supreme Court to rule on the competence of the National Court to continue the investigation and his request has not been resolved.
That is why he turns to the instructor again to ask him, given that the media have “thousands of emails” from Koldo García, to take action and open an investigation to discover the “origin” of the leak and agreed on a whole battery of procedures to clarify it.
He asks, first of all, that the list of dates of each stage be collected regarding the material, a USB stick that contained the dump of emails and other files, as well as Koldo García’s diaries. since the Civil Guard brought him to court. He also wants the agents to be identified.
Former minister José Luis Ábalos also denounced leaks of documents that harm him, but since he was not involved in the case, he chose to go to the prosecutor’s office, which agreed with him that there was reason to investigate and filed a complaint. The case continues before the Court of Instruction number 33 of Madrid.
