Koldo Garciaadvisor to the minister Jose Luis Abalosspoke to a civil guard involved in the corruption plot that the National Court is investigating to find out if Pedro Sánchez had his cell phone tapped. This is the conclusion of the new report from the Civil Guard submitted to Judge Ismael Moreno and to which OKDIARIO had access. “One day, he even asked me if the telephone number of the President of the Government and the former Minister of Public Works Jose Luis Abalos “They were wiretapped, to which they were told there was nothing we could do,” records an intercepted conversation.
For all these reasons, the UCO maintains: “Some of Koldo’s demands were a very sensitive character “like pretending to know if the phone of the President of the Government or the former Minister of Public Works was tapped”. Until now it was known that the original Navarrese advisor was sleeping next to the guarantees for Sánchez to obtain the noble function of Ferraz, now we see how he was also interested in knowing if the president of the executive was spied on. It must be remembered that the software Israeli Pegasus caused great emotion among governments around the world and, in particular, in Spain it was confirmed that it had been used in cell phones, among others, Sánchez, Fernando Grande-Marlaska and Margarita Robles.
The Civil Guard report focuses on the fact that Víctor Aldama is the “corrupting link» of the entire plot and explains how communications take place between the people investigated. He points out that Aldama companies not only generated direct economic benefits thanks to their infiltration within the Ministry of Transport, but also served as “vehicles” to carry out illicit payments and “gifts” with the aim of ensuring the complicity of certain public officials.
Agents emphasize that Aldama succeeded infiltrate his alleged criminal organization within the State security forcesor, counting on the active collaboration of Rubén Villalba, Civil Guard agent stationed in Venezuela. Villalba was arrested and is accused of receiving financial compensation worth more than 88,000 euros between 2021 and 2023, with the aim of guaranteeing the protection and continuity of the criminal organization.
The report highlights two main areas in which Villalba operated for the organization: first, internal security, which included the protection of communications and the personal integrity of members; and secondly, external security, responsible for covering and protect acts of corruption associated with criminal operations.
Payments of 2,000 euros
The report details that Villalba received payments of Víctor de Aldama and Koldo Garcíathe former advisor to former minister José Luis Ábalos. These payments, which began in May 2021 and extended through 2023, were made in cash and, according to investigators, coincided with income from Villalba’s or his partner’s accounts. According to the report, some of these inscriptions were made by Villalba’s subordinates, following his instructions.
The UCO also reveals that, based on intercepted recordings, it was confirmed that Villalba admitted to receiving multiple payments from between 10,000 and 12,000 euros in cash from Aldama, intended to ensure a secure line of communication. Regarding Koldo García’s payments, although there is no exact figure, it is known that he gave him 4,000 euros in cash during a meeting in a seafood restaurant in Madrid in September or October 2023.
Furthermore, the report highlights that Villalba provided terminals ultra-secure cell phones to Aldama and Koldo García. In exchange, the two businessmen allegedly gave cash to obtain phones “in B”outside of official control.
