The question of the continued illegal detention of five Greek Cypriots by the occupation forces was revised by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Konstantinos Kobos in his intervention in the work of the Foreign Affairs of the European Union (Hymns), which took place in Copenhagen on August 29.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during the work of the Council, EU foreign ministers had the opportunity to exchange opinions on current international events, focusing on the ongoing Russian aggression against Ukraine, including EU sanctions against Russia.
The focus of the discussion was also the situation in the Middle East with an emphasis on Gaza and Iran.
The informal council was organized by Denmark, in which the presidency of the Council of the European Union is being carried out in the current semester.
