JAKARTA – The Fast Motion Command (Kopasgat) team went down in history as the first military unit in Indonesia, which has mastered the ability to freely enter Wingsuit. Innovations have become the development of quiet and effective tactics of penetration into the air in the TNI environment.
“The Kopargat was the first unit in Indonesia to develop and master the ability to freely fall using Wingsuit,” said the commander of the Kopargat I, Colonel Pas Helmi A. Nang, on Monday (7/7/2025).

Nange explained that the training program in Wingsyute Kopoposagat was the implementation of the direct direction of the chief of staff of the Air Force (KSAU) by Marshal M. Tonny Kharjono. The training program was also attended by two world -class teachers from Australia, Ben Diko Dixon and Monroe, who have high hours of flight in military and civilian training in the form of disclosure.
Wingsuit training was shown in various strategic events, such as Trident Perkasa Training, Space Yudha, to the combined demonstration of Fire Power TNI, where Kopasgat soldiers showed high air maneuvers and high professionalism.
The most proud moment for this unit took place on March 14, 2023, when the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabavo Subianto, who then served as the Minister of Defense, officially recognized the superiority and innovation of the Kopopata when he confirmed as an honorary citizen of the Kopargat in the team headquarters in the bandng.
“In his speech, President Prabaso expressed his full assessment and support of Kopasgat transformation as an elite unit capable of crossing,” he said.
