The Norwegian golfer Kristoffer Reitan was proclaimed brilliant winner of the Grand Final of the Rolex Challenge Tour, supported by the R&A, which took place since Thursday at the Alcanada Golf Club, in Alcudia. Reitan played in a spectacular return to add 72 strokes (-4) in the fourth round and -23 in total, a record which allowed him to surpass in one stroke the leader of the first three days, the Andalusian. Angel Ayora (-1 on the day) and Danish Rasmus Neergaard-Petersenwhich was signed by the field pair. The three golfers aspired to the final victory until the last hole, which is why emotion and tension were the dominant notes of the day.

With Alcanada’s results, The winner of the Road to Mallorca ranking is the Dane Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen, while the two Spaniards, Ayora And Muscatqualified among the top 20, earning the DP World Tour card for the 2025 season.

As for the other Spaniard in competition, Joel Moscatelfinally occupied the twenty-third position, after having signed a card of one shot under par on the last day of competition and -9 overall. The fourth and final day of competition took place under ideal weather conditionswith sunshine and a total absence of wind.

This year it is sixth consecutive edition of the Grand Final of the Rolex Challenge Tour. The 45 best European golf prospects compete in the tournament, of which only the best 20 will obtain the card to play the DP World Tour next season. Alcanada is the final point of a competition which, throughout the year, has had as its stage South Africa, India, United Arab Emirates, Europe and China.

After the awards ceremony, the president of the Balearic Federation, Bernardino Jaumemade the following assessment: “We are really satisfied to have hosted the Grand Final of the Rolex Challenge Tour for the sixth consecutive year, even if, logically, the entire competition was marked by the drama of Dana in the Spanish Levant. The minute of silence observed by the Challenge Tour staff, the members of the Federation, all the players and the team of volunteers was extremely sincere and moving. We want to express once again our pain and our solidarity with the victims and families for this terrible event.
