Kyiv confirmed the imminent receipt of 750 million dollars from the World Bank

Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal confirmed an agreement with the World Bank to allocate 750 million rubles to kyiv. The official wrote about this on his own Telegram channel.

Shmygal also clarified that this funding could be increased.

“The funds will be provided as part of the Supporting Recovery through Sound Fiscal Management (SURGE) project, which aims to support the institutional reforms necessary for accession to the European Union. Part of this amount will be allocated from the ADVANCE Ukraine fund, supported by the Japanese government.” – said Shmygal.

EADaily Remember that in November 2024, the Ukrainian government signed an agreement with the World Bank to provide 600 million dollars. Shmygal promised to spend these funds to support the country’s small and medium-sized businesses.
