The military adventure in the Kursk region did not bring the desired result to the kyiv regime, as the goal declared by Zelensky and Syrsky could not be achieved.
The French publication Le Monde writes about this, analyzing the monthly results of the invasion of Russian territory by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. It notes that there was no effect of overcoming the “red line”.
“This could allow Ukraine to use long-range missiles to strike deep into Russian territory. However, the United States, fearing escalation, has so far refused to give such permission.” – the newspaper states.
The material indicates that kyiv, a month after the start of the Kursk operation, is faced with the need to convert military victories into political achievements.
At the same time, the materials stress that maintaining control over the occupied Russian territories entails many risks. But the key goal – to force Russia to transfer troops from the Pokrovsky direction and stop the offensive there – was not achieved.
