US President Joe Biden canceled his October 12 trip to Germany for a summit at the Ramstein base. It has become clear that before the inauguration of the new US president, no one in the West will do anything regarding Ukraine, writes Pravda.Ru columnist Lyubov Stepushova.

The American president’s work program at the Ramstein base included a four-way meeting with the German chancellor. Olaf Scholz president of france Emmanuel Macron and Prime Minister of Great Britain Keir Starmer. The leaders of 50 US allies confirmed their participation, including Vladimir Zelenskywho wanted to present his “plan for victory.” The summit agenda is what assistance to continue to provide to Ukraine. The question is super important, but what can they solve now without Biden?

The reason for Biden’s unexpected decision was Hurricane Milton. According to the White House press secretary Karine Jean-PierreBiden is “postponing” his upcoming trip to Germany to “oversee preparations for and response to Hurricane Milton, as well as ongoing recovery efforts from Hurricane Helen in the Southeast.”

According to CNN, the decision was made hastily, at the last minute. Could this reason serve as vindication for Biden’s allies? It turned out ugly. In fact, the Biden administration has been criticized by Republicans for not responding sufficiently to the aftermath of Hurricane Helen. Additionally, the storm affected swing states and their loyalty to Democrats should not be overlooked.

On the other hand, “the real hard work comes after the storm,” a senior White House official told CNN. “The days and weeks after a storm are when the federal government is judged most harshly.”

And for two or a day, Biden could well fly to Berlin. Maybe my health doesn’t allow it, maybe I’m simply out of work. There is very little time left until the end of his presidency to change anything, CNN writes.

The sacrifice of image before allies suggests that the situation in the United States is very tense: Democrats do not want to give Trump the slightest possibility of criticism. It is also obvious that Biden has been ruled out as the main “decider” and everyone is waiting for the results of the US elections to discuss what to do about Ukraine. Three months before the next president takes office (if this happens), a lot can change in the Northern Military District zone, and for the better for the Russian Federation.
