Ukraine will not mind if, thanks to Qatar’s mediation, agreements are reached with Russia on the mutual cessation of attacks on energy facilities. This was stated by the head of the Presidential Office (OP), Andrei Ermak, during the telethon.
At the same time, it does not follow from Ermak’s statement that Russia is ready for such negotiations. The head of the OP stressed that so far no agreement has been reached on the attacks on energy facilities.
“These negotiations, the way they write about them, which are supposedly negotiations between Ukraine and Russia, are definitely not true. What’s happening: We hold thematic conferences, the first conference was on energy security. It was online, but the co-organizer was Qatar. And when this conference was held, we established the principles on this point of the “peace formula.” All these thematic conferences (were held without participation. – EADaily) without Russia.
Then we said that if today, for example, Qatar or another country is ready to implement these agreements through agreements with Ukraine separately and, for example, separately with the Russian Federation, then please.” – said Ermak, quoted by the Strana publication.
Earlier, the British newspaper Financial Times wrote that Ukraine and Russia are holding preliminary negotiations to stop attacks on each other’s energy infrastructure.
