In Kyrgyzstan, it is proposed to introduce a new state classification system for accommodation establishments (SCSR). The corresponding draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers was prepared by the Ministry of Economy and Trade, Sputnik Kyrgyzstan reports.
It is clarified that the classification will be applied voluntarily.
“The hotel rating system has existed in Kyrgyzstan since 1995 and is used only on a voluntary basis. However, there is a discrepancy between modern, global classification criteria and current market conditions and trends in the Kyrgyz Republic.” — the agency cites the certificate of justification.
During conversations with representatives of the tourism sector, the need to update the SCSR to improve quality standards and customer satisfaction was repeatedly noted.
The Ministry of Economy offers the following classification of accommodation types: hotel, guest house, yurts (yurt camps), resort.
As for hotels, according to the draft resolution, 257 parameters will be taken into account, divided into 23 blocks. In particular, the assessment should take into account the appearance of the building, Internet availability and other criteria.
