Kyrgyzstan’s Independence Day was celebrated in Baku

On August 31, an official reception was held in Baku to mark the 33rd anniversary of the independence of the Kyrgyz Republic and the 100th anniversary of the Kara-Kyrgyz Autonomous Region.

AZERTAC reports that the event was attended by the Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the founder and leader of the IDEA Public Union (PU). Leyla AliyevaState and government representatives, deputies of the sixth convocation of the Milli Majlis, representatives of the diplomatic corps of our country and representatives of the public participated in the event.

At the official reception, the national anthems of Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan were played first.

Expressing his sincere gratitude to Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, for her participation in the event, Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to our country Maksat Mamitkanov noted that our countries are friends and brothers. He stressed that we are closely connected with each other, mutual relations between our countries and our joint activities are at an excellent level.

“May our friendship be eternal and deepen day by day. We highly value this friendship and our strategic cooperation. There is a political dialogue between the two countries. Our joint projects continue,” said the ambassador.

Speaking about the development path of his country, the diplomat stated that the Kyrgyz people have gone through difficult stages towards independence and said: “The Kyrgyz Republic, like other Turkic-speaking countries, attaches great importance to cooperation and deepening relations with Azerbaijan. The countries are successfully represented in a number of international organizations.”

Noting the importance of the state visit of the Kyrgyz President to our country in April this year, the ambassador touched upon the importance of the creation of the Azerbaijan-Kyrgyz Development Fund and noted its role in expanding cooperation between our countries.

Wishing peace and tranquility to our people, the diplomat expressed confidence that the friendship between Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan, based on historical roots, will continue to develop at an ever-increasing pace on the basis of common interests.

Congratulating the Kyrgyz Republic on its Independence Day, Leyla Aliyeva wished peace and prosperity to the Kyrgyz people and recited her poem dedicated to Lake Issyk-Kul.

A commemorative gift was presented to Leyla Aliyeva at the event.

Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov, who congratulated the state and people of Kyrgyzstan on behalf of the Government of Azerbaijan, said that historically there have been traditional relations of friendship and brotherhood between our peoples. Relations between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan are at the level of strategic partnership.

“The historical relations between the peoples of Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan, based on friendship and brotherhood, are successfully developing thanks to the political will of the leaders of both countries. Thanks to mutual visits and joint efforts of the leaders of Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan, our relations have developed and we have entered a new stage. Today, our countries are successfully developing in various areas, especially cooperation in the fields of trade, economy, investment and transport, and important projects are being implemented. “The Republic of Azerbaijan and the Kyrgyz Republic” on April 20, 2022, during the official visit of the President of Kyrgyzstan to our country, played an important role in his appointment,” the minister stressed.

Speaking about economic relations between our countries, efficient cooperation in the field of renewable energy and joint investments in the field of wind energy, Parviz Shahbazov noted that the Kyrgyz Republic supports Azerbaijan in construction works carried out in the territories liberated from occupation.

He expressed his confidence that the existing strategic partnership, traditional friendly relations and effective cooperation between our countries will be further expanded.

Russian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mikhail Yevdokimov and other speakers congratulated Kyrgyzstan on its Independence Day and wished the Kyrgyz people peace, tranquility and progress.

At the end of the event, a video was shown showing the friendship between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan.
