There is less time left before May 18, 2025, when more than 50,000 people will attend the ceremony presided over by Pope Francis in Rome to mark the closing of the Jubilee of the brotherhoods. The Archconfraternity of María Santísima de la Esperanza de Málaga, one of the brotherhoods that will be protagonists of this event and will preside over the procession that will take place on May 17, 2025 with the Santísimo Cristo de la Expiración of Seville, has published the new identity this visual Wednesday who will look for the occasion.
This “imagegotype”, a combination of text and symbol, will be used to represent the image of the brand and will constitute a recognizable element for all activities related to the participation of the brotherhood in the events planned for this anniversary.
The work, carried out by Brother E. Arjona, is structured around the concept “Hope in Rome“. This idea will be transmitted to the whole world from its Latin translation Spes Romae, taking into account that it is the liturgical language of the Catholic Church and the official language of the Holy See, which facilitates its understanding within the universal Christianity. For the typographic choice, the written formats of classical Roman culture were also used but with a contemporary treatment.
Concerning the visual emblem, the logo is composed of four elements which, forming a vertical image, combines and conjugates four indivisible aspects to the Archconfraternity and to María Santísima de la Esperanza. The anchor, which itself represents Hope (the sailor’s last safeguard in the storm) is intertwined with the keys of Saint Peter, reinforcing the pontifical character of this corporation.
At the top, like cusp which crowns the entire logo, can be identified The dome of Saint-Pierreby highlighting the destination to which the brothers of this institution will go next May on the occasion of the Jubilee of the Brotherhoods; all this with sprigs of rosemary decorating everything on the sides.
The work, carried out by Brother E. Arjona, revolves around the concept “Hope in Rome”.
This format will be present in the different information mediacommunication with the brothers and the faithful, in different rooms of the souvenir shop as well as in the various promotional projects that the Archconfraternity develops with the Jubilee technical committee.

The events of the Archconfraternity of Málaga will begin on Friday May 16 2025. The pilgrimage to Holy door of Saint Peter from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. In the same square you can receive the sacrament of reconciliation in the Jubilee churches.
