The famous American baseball player Chris Bryant was the victim of an unusual robbery. He ordered a Lamborghini Huracan to be shipped from Colorado to Las Vegas, but the car never arrived: Hackers hacked into the shipping company’s email and changed the destination.
Oku.Az “Carscoops” writes about this.
Colorado police who investigated the incident concluded that the shipping company was the victim of a commercial email. The supercar was finally tracked by surveillance cameras and found after only a week of searching.
At the same time, investigators discovered several other similar events and were able to discover not only two cars stolen in a similar way, but also several episodes of falsification of registration documents. The suspects have already been arrested. It is alleged that by accessing email they can organize the illegal transport of cars throughout the country.
